| arawak is a horror-centric gpsl taking place in camp arawak in adirondack park preserve in new york. this gpsl is based on camp slasher movies. we are taking inspiration from movies such as friday the 13th and sleepaway camp. orignally named camp regis, camp arawak originally closed over 40 years ago after the massacre of counselors and campers supposedly perpetrated by one of the campers. of course, the owners deny any claims that any murders have happened on the grounds. traditional rules of rp apply here - no blurring ic/ooc, if you suspect someone of blurring please contact the mods. when it comes to activity, we will be working on a point system (credit to davillaun for the idea). at the end of the month, there will be a post to roll a 20-sided die. however many points you have gained throughout the month with activity will be added as a modifier. the character with the lowest number will die. this a horror gpsl and will contain mature horror themes. if violence, death and horror movies isn't something your interested in, this gpsl isn't for you. please note that: yes, your character can die. when your character dies, you are more than welcome to bring in a new one. whether it be another counselor or various staff throughout the camp. arawak will be invite only after first adds. if you want to join, you must have a connection to a current member and a current member must vouch for you. adds will be done as they come in. APPLYING to apply you will need: - an ic journalPBS we welcome any and all pbs as long as they are over the age of 18 and within 5 years +/- of your character's in game age. pb changes will be allowed on a case by case basis, as long as the pb is not on the deceased list or currently in use! in the event of a character or npc death, that pb will go on our deceased list and be unavailable to be used in the group until further notice. |

between two and four adult counselors live and sleep along with campers in large, open-air cabins. Double-decker bunks stretch across both sides and there’s plenty of open space. |

WHAT GOOD ARE POINTS?
the way we are going to determine deaths in this group is through rolls of a d20 at the end of the month. throughout each calendar month there will be opportunities to earn points in several ways and points allow you to add a modifier to your end of the month roll. so the more points that you have, the higher your modifier! HOW TO EARN POINTS writing and participation in events count towards point totals, along with character updates! now, you can't post 3 instagrams in a row and get points for each one, but if you are doing unique forms of activity, you can earn points several ways! additional points may be rewarded as a part of an event’s outcome or something similar. DEATHS at the end of the month, there is a chance a character may die. this can be an npc or a player character. a screened post will be put up on the last day of the month, calling for rolling a d20 and adding your total modifer! the character or npc who rolls the lowest total number will be the victim, and will be told asap! WHAT IF THERE IS A TIE? |

| there will be mod posts bi-weekly of events at the cabin and surrounding areas to progress the plot. they may be as simple as ffas, group threads, mini-games, counselor activities or discussion posts or something more sinister. participation is optional but will count towards your point total for the month. |
